Victoria’s skilled nomination program 2020-2021

After South Australia, Tasmania and ACT, now Victoria has also announced that they will reopen their state nomination program to make use of the small number of state nomination visa places received until the Federal Budget, on 6 October 2020.

Because of this limited quota received, the program has been designed in response to challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, with a focus on Victoria’s economic recovery, and only applicants who have been working for the last 6 months in Victoria in a highly-skilled occupation in health or medical research are eligible to apply. It is unclear if these rules will remain after the Federal Budget, in October.
